The Grand Island Fire Department battled flames Monday night near a gas station.
Fire crews were on the scene at 713 West 6th Street at 8:00 p.m. after a report of fire in a detached garage.
The home is located near Coffin's Corner on Eddy Street.
GIFD EMS Division Chief Russ Blackburn says that the fire was not close enough to the gas tanks to cause a threat.
According to Grand Island Fire Department's Captain Cory Schmidt, the call came in at 7:59 p.m. Crews arrived to find the garage fully involved in flames.
Schmidt said there were two men working on a vehicle in the detached garage with when the fire broke out. The fire extended to the structure of the garage.
Blackburn says there were no injuries, but the structure is a total loss.
