Grand Island police continue to look for a suspect in the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank.
It took place Monday shortly before 3:00 p.m. at 920 West Second Street.
Officer Butch Hurst said the man entered the bank without a weapon. He said the suspect demanded money and left with an unreleased amount of cash.
The bank closed for the rest of the day following the robbery.
Police have this message for the community:
"It can happen here and just be vigilant," said Hurst. "If you see something that just doesn't look right, then you need to take action, and in this case very few people it seems like even noticed anything unusual that took place."
The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 150 to 160 pounds.
If you have any information call Grand Island police.
