Three drivers were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after a Saturday, May 19, special enforcement effort in Hall County.
Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol in conjunction with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office conducted a night of high visibility patrols and DUI checkpoints in an effort to reduce the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes.
In addition to the three DUI arrests, 10 speeding citations and warnings were issued, one person was cited for open container, and two people were cited for possession of marijuana more than an ounce less than a pound. Three seat belt citations and warnings were also issued.
The special enforcement effort was paid for thanks in part to a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
