Officials are looking for the owners of two dogs rescued from Kuester Lake Sunday afternoon.
Laurie Dethloff from the Central Nebraska Humane Society said a cocker spaniel was in the frigid water for at least 20 minutes before the Grand Island Fire Department rescue team pulled her to shore.
She had to stay overnight at a local veterinarian's office, where Dethloff said her body temperature was restored to normal.
A black lab was also rescued. Both dogs are now doing fine at the Humane Society waiting for their owner.
