From the City of Kearney:
The City of Kearney Utilities Department and Midlands Contracting announce that the most southern east bound lane of 56th Street on the west side of Second Avenue which was closed on February 26 will be closed through the end of the day on Friday, March 1, 2013.
The lane was closed to allow a new sanitary sewer main to connect to the existing sanitary sewer which is located just south of 56th Street.
The new sanitary sewer main will provide sewer service to the Oak Park Center subdivision.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and machinery. If possible, motorists are asked to consider using another route to reach their destination.
