Lower Gas Prices Means More Holiday Travelers

More people are traveling this holiday season according to AAA.

At pump and pantry in grand island travelers fuel up their vehicles - but they're keeping a little extra cash in their pocket.

"I think people appreciate having a little bit of a relief at the pump. Instead of the $3.20 we've paid this year," said Traveler Sarah Sell.

In fact, triple a projects 93.3 million americans will travel between now and january 1st, which is a 1.6% increase over last year.

"We are coming back from St Paul area and going back to Lincoln. We had an early Christmas with my family yesterday," said Traveler Jean Kolar.

AAA also predicts that on average, americans will travel 760 miles roundtrip this holiday season...Which is up from last year as well.

"It's kind of a nice relief especially around the holidays to see them dropping," said Sell.
