A 43-year-old woman has been arrested, accused of starting a fire at her North Platte home so another resident would leave.
Royalene Hernandez was arrested Monday night on suspicion of felony arson.
North Platte police responded to a call from the home earlier Monday evening.
Hernandez told officers she wanted another resident to leave.
But officers told her she'd have to go through an eviction process, and they left.
Firefighters were sent to the home a little before 9 p.m. to battle a carpet blaze inside.
Officers say Hernandez started the fire because the other resident still refused to leave.
No injuries were reported.
Online records say Hernandez remained in Lincoln County Jail on Wednesday.
