The University of Nebraska-Lincoln says its new online graduate certificate program in horticulture is aimed at professionals.
But program head Ellen Paparozzi says the program also will appeal to anyone interested in exploring potential horticulture careers.
Applications are being accepted for the spring 2013 semester for three graduate certificates available under the program. They are floriculture and nursery production management; ornamentals, landscape and turf; and advanced horticulture.
Each certificate requires a minimum of 12 credit hours and can be completed online.
Courses are taught by faculty from UNL, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Kansas State University, Texas Tech University and North Carolina State University.
