Kristine Griffing died last December from injuries she received from a machine at the Eaton factory in Kearney.
Her father felt the penalty of just under six thousand dollars was simply too low.
An OSHA spokesperson detailed the fine.
OSHA Regional Public Affairs Director Scott Allen: "The company has been cited with two citations, one for lack of machine guarding, and then they received a penalty of seven thousand dollars; and then they received a a penalty of one thousand dollars, for inaccurate record keeping. The company met with OSHA at a settlement agreement. The penalty amount that was agreed to was $5950."
