A St. Paul man is dead after his mobile home caught fire.

Witnesses say the fire erupted sometime around 2 a.m. on Friday morning. Neighbors say the fire was quickly extinguished.

Firefighters pulled the body of twenty-nine year old Jason Kock from between the kitchen and living room area of the trailer.

"We'd heard popping noises all night, and like I said, I thought it was fireworks so I really didn't investigate too much. Then we heard the emergency siren come off and we'd seen, I had seen a police officer come by and I'd come out, to look at it, you know, and see what was going on then, so I realized Jason's trailer was on fire," explained Tyson Gallant, Kock's neighbor.

No one else was at the trailer when firefighters arrived at the scene.

While an investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing, it appears to have started in the kitchen of the double-wide structure.

The Howard County Attorney's Office says foul play is not suspected in the incident.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
