A state grant of $505,000 will help Sergeant's Pet Care Products expand and hire nearly 60 new employees.
Governor Dave Heineman announced the grant on Monday at a ribbon-cutting for the company's new $7 million headquarters and production plant in Omaha.
Sarpy County will use the grant money to help purchase equipment that Sergeant's will use to make products such as pet shampoos and flea and tick treatments.
Most of the cost of the project was paid by the company and bank financing.
