KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) -- The University of Nebraska at Kearney has received a $900,000 grant to provide services for victims of sexual assault, stalking and relationship violence.
The grant will help pay for women's services in Buffalo, Dawson, Franklin, Harlan and Kearney counties. The services are a joint venture involving the university, family advocates and local law enforcement.
The three-year renewal grant from the Justice Department was one of 30 awarded nationwide. Among the recipients, the university was the only higher education institution.
