UNK Warns of Master Keys Lost

From the University of Nebraska at Kearney:

A set of master keys was discovered missing from a University building late Thursday morning.

These keys will access most campus buildings. The university is taking steps to recore all outside residential doors. During this process, doors which only have key access may not be accessible.

Residence hall students should use doors accessed by fobs. Once the process is completed, Residence Life will notify students when to again use their keys.

UNK Police and Parking Services reminds all members of the university community to report any suspicious activity or individuals in your building. Suspicious activity or individuals should be reported immediately to UNK Police and Parking Services at (308) 627-4811.

We encourage individuals across the campus not to prop open doors, allow others to tailgate in behind you or allow individuals access to locked buildings. Further, we ask the campus community not to bring unnecessary valuables to campus.

UNK reports these incidents to help the University community be aware of safety issues and to allow them to take safety measures to prevent crimes.
