It's important that you take action when you hear the tornado warning, if you're outside and hear the sirens once again you need to know what to do.
When a warning is issued you want to go down to the lowest level of your home or business preferably a basement would be the best place. When you get to the basement you want to get under something a table or pool table or even underneath stairs. You want to get under something protective to protect you from debris. If your home does not have a basement, get to the lowest level and find a room such as bathroom or closet. You want to stay away from windows and don't want to be around the outside wall.
If you live in an apartment building and are on the third, fourth or fifth floor you still want to try to get down to the lowest level if you can. If you can't you want to get to an interior hallway away from windows.
