The state Department of Agriculture has released its annual directory of Christmas tree growers in an effort to encourage Nebraskans to buy local.

Ag Director Greg Ibach says Nebraska tree farms offer several varieties, and the purchases help the local economy.

The listing of about 30 Christmas tree growers from across the state is available at www.agr.ne.gov or by calling 800-422-6692.
