A new internship program is being offered through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in honor of the outgoing Nebraska Farm Bureau president.

The farm bureau established the Keith Olsen award in November.

Nominations are being taken through Dec. 20 for the first
recipient, who will get $3,000 to $4,000 to help support an
internship in a Nebraska Congressional office, a Congressional
Committee or an agricultural organization in order to learn more
about ag policy.

Nominees for the internship award must be juniors or seniors in
UNL's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

For details, contact Brad Lubben at 402-472-2235 or blubben2@unl.edu.

The winner will be announced in January.

Olsen, of Grant, will retire as the farm bureau's president on
Tuesday. He's been active in the organization for almost two
decades.
