Nebraska's fall harvest is winding down although recent snow in the western end of the state has slowed some farm work.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the corn harvest is about 97 percent done statewide, but only about 80 percent complete in the Panhandle.
The corn harvest is slightly behind last year when 99 percent of the crop had been harvested at this time. But farmers are doing better than the average of 85 percent done.
The sorghum harvest is about 98 percent done. That's close to last year's 99 percent and well ahead of the average of 85 percent done.
