Nebraska's role in the future global economy is the main topic at an upcoming agriculture conference in Kearney.
The 24th Annual Governor's Ag Conference is slated for Feb. 15-16.
The Nebraska Department of Agriculture is taking registration information until Feb. 1.
Department Director Greg Ibach says the keynote speaker will be John Doggett, a senior research fellow at the University of Texas at Austin.
He specializes in international entrepreneurship, management and sustainability.
Ibach says farmers, ranchers and agribusiness professionals should attend the event to get an outlook on the future of the industry.
Other topics include the federal farm bill, agriculture's future at the University of Nebraska and ways to connect consumers with farmers and ranchers.
