The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has opened an office in Beijing that officials say could spark new opportunities for joint research and faculty and student exchanges.
The university's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources will work with China's State Administration of Grain.
The new office and an agreement with the Chinese agency will provide access to a network of Chinese university and state partners to arrange the exchanges and set up research projects.
The agreement lets Nebraska seek agribusiness opportunities with the Chinese.
