Federal regulators have proposed $126,500 in penalties for a south-central Nebraska grain elevator that's accused of safety violations.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration says the Cooperative Producers Inc. elevator in Franklin had committed six violations.
The department says the company has 15 business days from when it received notice of the citations to request a conference with an OSHA official or contest the findings before an independent OSHA review commission.
A spokesman for Cooperative Producers didn't immediately return a call Wednesday from The Associated Press.
Cooperative Producers is based in Hastings and lists facilities in several Nebraska towns.
