Pheasant preservation group Pheasants Forever has named Colby Kerber of Broken Bow as the organization's new regional wildlife biologist for western Nebraska.
Kerber will raise and spend funds on wildlife habitat and conservation education. He'll also work with local, state and federal natural resources agencies on behalf of Nebraska Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever chapters.
Kerber grew up on his family farm outside of Battle Creek in northeast Nebraska. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in fisheries and wildlife. He has worked for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and has spent the last three years as a Pheasants Forever farm bill wildlife biologist in central Nebraska.
