Nebraska ranchers and farmers who need certification can take a daylong manure management course next month from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The workshop will teach farmers how to use manure to improve crop yields without endangering the environment.
UNL's Leslie Johnson says the workshop will also help livestock producers increase the economic value of the manure their animals
produce.
The February 2nd workshop will also serve to help livestock producers and farmers gain state certification for handling manure.
Anyone needing to be recertified after five years can attend the afternoon portion.
