Federal agriculture officials say Nebraska's hog inventory is down.
The United States Department of Agriculture says in a report released Friday that the state's inventory of all hogs and pigs was 3 million head on Dec. 1. That's down five percent from the same period last year. It's also down five percent from September of this year.
Inventory of all hogs and pigs in the United States is down. It was more than 66 million head on Dec. 1, down slightly from the same period last year, and two percent from September of this year.
