This week’s Pure Nebraska show highlights the state’s number one industry, agriculture, but we don’t stop there! We also celebrate the state by showing you great places to visit as 10/11 News Anchor Jon Vanderford and 10/11 Meteorologist Brad Anderson talk to some of the people that make Nebraska so unique.
The Burwell Rodeo is getting underway Wednesday and the community is buzzing about the big event. Over the course of the week, the town of about 1,200 grows to about 12,000. City officials say the temporary population growth is great for business and says that the average rodeo-attendee spends about $50 a day. We’ll take a closer look at the economic impact of Nebraska’s Big Rode.
In our weekly Our Town segment, Brad Anderson heads to Friend, Nebraska. And while the population may be on the small side, what the town offers its residents is pretty big. From a local winery to a historic opera house, the town has it all.
And country girl Taryn Vanderford takes us on a hay rack ride and cook-out at Fort Robinson. We’ll find out what’s it’s like to head west in search for The Good Life.
It’s all on this week’s Pure Nebraska!
