A driver injured in a crash that killed an Omaha doctor faces motor vehicle homicide and other charges.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Jason Laware in the August crash in Sarpy County.
County Attorney Lee Polikov told television station KMTV that Laware may have to be kept under guard at the hospital because of extensive injuries.
Police have said Laware hit the center median, went airborne and hit an oncoming Ford Focus, sparking a fire. The Focus was then hit by another car.
Police said the driver of the Focus, Adam Smith, was killed. His two sons, ages 8 and 3, were hurt.
Tests show Laware had a blood-alcohol level of .30. The legal limit on Nebraska roads is .08.
Laware's attorney said he was drinking the night and was heading to work when he crashed.
