Many of the 2005 Flight Camp students had their fingers crossed as they were counting down until lift-off. They, like everyone else were hoping everything went smoothly. After take off, there was tons of applause inside the Strategic Air Command Museum.
Ari Juster was happy there wasn't another accident like Columbia in 2003.
"I was thinking, I hope it doesn't explode again like Columbia, because that would be really bad. And then, I was also thinking that must be really cool to hang upside down while there is only a minute left on the countdown and thinking 'I hope I survive this.'"
About 12 camp students were able to attend the live viewing at Sac's.
