Omaha police say a rash of shootings that left two people dead and one injured are related.
Authorities say 22-year-old Luis Fernando-Silva of Omaha was the first victim. He was shot a little before 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in southeast Omaha and pronounced dead at Creighton University Medical Center.
Police were soon called to a shooting a few miles to the northwest. Officers found 21-year-old Charles Denton, who was shot after using an ATM in the Dundee area. He's expected to survive.
Around 11:15 p.m., police responded to a shooting at a convenience store a couple miles away. Officers found a 27-year-old Tari Glinsmann of Omaha dead in the parking lot.
All the victims were shot near or in their vehicles.
