Authorities Say No Intruder In Gun Shot Case

At approximately 4:20 p.m. on December 11, 2008 the Dawson County Sheriffs Office was notified of a woman who had suffered a gun shot wound to her stomach at a rural Overton location, the office said in a statement released Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Sandra Jindra, age 33 of rural Overton who was subsequently transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska by the Overton Fire and Rescue Department.
The injuries to Ms. Jindra were not life-threatening.
The investigation fails to provide evidence that an intruder was present at the time the victim received the gun shot wound.
The Dawson County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Buffalo County Sheriffs Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
The investigation in this matter is continuing.
