Douglas County Commissioner Mike Boyle has been found not guilty of a traffic violation for blocking an anti-abortion protest at a campaign event for Barack Obama.
But Douglas County Judge Craig McDermott said Monday that, legally, Boyle treaded on thin ice.
On September 10, near at event at an Obama office, a member of the anti-abortion group Rescue the Heartland was driving a truck with pictures of aborted fetuses.
Boyle said he saw a woman shield a child's eyes, so he stopped his car in front of the truck so it couldn't get past.
Police ticketed Boyle for creating a traffic hazard because cars were backing up.
Boyle, a former Omaha mayor, argued in court that vehicles could use the turn lane to get by his car.
