One man is dead in a single-vehicle crash near Fremont.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Kelly Ladd of Valley died after his pickup went off Old Highway 275 late Wednesday night and rolled several times.
Investigators say Ladd was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. He was rushed to a Fremont hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 27-year-old Hooper man who was a passenger in the pickup was seriously injured in the crash. He's been hospitalized in Omaha.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.
