A 25-year-old Lincoln man has been given 18-36 months for being drunk when his car rolled on a county road, killing one of his passengers and injuring the other.
Ryan J. Cannon was sentenced Monday in Johnson County District Court on two counts of drunken driving causing serious injury.
The crash in November 2007 killed 24-year-old Elizabeth "Beth" Warland, who was thrown from the car, and seriously injured Michael Melson.
At the time, all three lived in Cook.
Accident investigators say Cannon was driving eastbound at around 85 mph and lost control on a curve. His blood-alcohol level tested out at nearly twice the legal level of 0.08 percent.
