Only three out of ten Nebraska school districts met every goal of the federal "No Child Left Behind" education reform law.

However, only 159 of the state's 517 school districts had enough students to be included under federal accountability guidelines. The cutoff is 30 students.

The results are being released to school Monday. They are available on Nebraska Department of Education web site.

The state is identifying areas of concern based on the results. Improvement is needed for students learning English and students with disabilities. Middle and high school performance in math also needs improvement.

Nebraska Education Commissioner Doug Christensen says the state will help schools in specific areas as needed.
