A Chicago woman who has been living in Lincoln with an aunt was given 60 days in jail for her role in an attack after a traffic incident last year.
On Tuesday, Judge Robert Otte of Lancaster County District Court denied Jeri Whitfield's request for probation on the misdemeanor charge of aiding and abetting third-degree assault.
Police say the attack happened after a 24-year-old woman's car was bumped. Police say a group of eight to 10 women from two cars pulled the woman from her car and beat her.
Whitfield was the last of four women who were prosecuted.
Quanetta Campbell was sentenced to five-to-seven years. Her niece, Christina Campbell, was sentenced to three-to-four years. Patricia Ann Johnson was given 18-to-36 months in prison.
