Federal officials in Nebraska say two couples living in the state have been indicted on marriage fraud and other charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Omaha says 35-year-old Shane Schutte of Cozad and 41-year-old Maria del Sagrario Schutte of Lexington face six counts, including marriage fraud and fraud in filing immigration documents.
Another couple, 53-year-old Rosa Linda Banda and 43-year-old Armando Orozco-Sanchez were also indicted Wednesday on two counts, marriage fraud and immigration documents fraud.
Authorities say the couples were married to evade immigration laws.
All four have pleaded not guilty and are set to go to trial on Aug. 31.
