The owner of a dog that attacked a 10-year old boy nearly a month ago has been handed $150 in fines in connection with the incident.
Lancaster County Court records show that 51-year old Lisa A Burton of Lincoln was found guilty Thursday of allowing a dog to run at large ($100 fine) and owning a dog without a license ($50 fine).
Lincoln Animal Control officials say 10-year-old Baylee Harris had to get 30 stitches after being attacked by Burton's pit bull June 3 in the 3600 block of Huntington Avenue. The dog was declared "vicious" and was put to sleep.
