-- a charge Johanns' office denies.

Change That Works Nebraska spokeswoman Meg Mandy says the group stood outside the doors of a University of Nebraska Medical Center building where the meeting was being held. She says the group held a banner calling for health care reform, but was quiet. She denied that the group was protesting the senator or his stance on health care reform.

However, she says, a couple of the senator's staffers watched the group as it was setting up and "gave us a dirty look, and about five minutes later, the security guards showed up."

The group was asked to move about 20 feet back to a sidewalk.

Amy, if you're going to pick at spelling, check out how YOU spelled Johanns. And on a personal note, if I saw Johanns myself, I'd probably give him a dirty also!!

Goverment option is ok for Senator Mikey and his bad lungs but not the general public.A goverment option on health care would all but get rid of malpractice law suites and medical coverage on auto and home owners insurance. It's all for the BIG INSURANCE profits. Thanks for your concern Congressmen.

Oh no, dirty looks. It doesn't get much worse than that - if you're a chronic whiner.

Oh, and one more thing - the title "Group Accusses Johanns Staff Of Using Intimidation" contains a misspelling of the word "accuses."

Good grief! Here, I was hoping for an interesting story of "We'll shut you down if you don't blah!". Instead, I find some tin-hat wearing special interest advocate who likely will have little impact on what ends up being policy, makes a big deal out of what is very likely University policy for picketers and nothing to do with Johan. Newsteam - did anyone bother hunting down these security guards and ask them why they required a 20-foot cushion between the door and the protesters? Don't worry if you can't pick out the exact guards in a line-up, just ask at the office about policy. As another lead, the investigative team might also want to contact state and local officials and ask what the legal requirements are before one can exercise their right to protest. On the plus side, there must not be a lot of serious crime to report on.
