Bouquets of fireworks shot through the skies in the Capitol City just as scheduled Sunday for Uncle Sam Jam's re-scheduled Independence Day celebration.
Zambelli Fireworks has been contracted with the City of Lincoln to help organize the fireworks display for the past 7 years.
John Stubbs, a pyrotechnician with Zambelli Fireworks says it usually takes crews about 3 days to set up for the event. He says the rain didn't do too much damage to the set up, because tarps were used to keep fuses and powder dry.
One display that did get soggy was the custom Pepsi Company sign. Pepsi Company sponsored Lincoln's fireworks show.
Stubbs and his crews spent the majority of the day replacing fuses for the sign.
