Dawson County authorities say they're still investigating a fatal collision at a rural intersection near Lexington in south-central Nebraska.
A news release from the sheriff and the county attorney on Monday said a car westbound on a county road didn't halt at a stop sign shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday. A pickup heading north on state Highway 21 struck the car on the driver's side.
The car driver, 42-year-old Humberto Avila of Lexington, died at the scene. His passenger was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities say the pickup's occupants were unhurt.
