Heartland United Way hosted its 7th annual Moo-Claw event.
The event was held at the Heartland Events Center, where attendees could relax and enjoy Nebraska steaks which were donated by JBS Swift Company, and eat fresh lobster from the East Coast.
The event was held to help raise money to advance the common good of individuals in Hall, Hamilton, Merrick and Howard counties.
"There's a lot of volunteers here making this happen, and we really couldn't do it without the volunteers, so we're very grateful that we have the support we do from the community - great corporate support. JBS donates all the steaks and we had Diary Queen donate all the ice cream. Several businesses donate all the baked potatoes so it really is a wonderful event for people to get behind and know they're doing something good for the community," said Heartland United Way President Karen Rathkeall.
Proceeds benefit the Heartland United Way and 16 of its partner agencies who focus on the building blocks for a good life -- education, income and health.
