Lincoln police say they're looking for a suspect after he robbed several people outside their apartment complex Thursday morning.
Officer Katie Flood a black male was waiting in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 6039 Meridian Drive. At 3:40 Thursday morning he approached 2 23 year old women and a 26 year old man. Flood said he pulled a gun and demanded money, then fired the weapon once in the air.
Flood said the man handed over his wallet, but one of the women refused to five the suspect her purse. Flood said he grabbed the purse and dragged the woman 5-10 feet before giving up and running away.
Flood said he got into a red Monte Carlo that was waiting nearby.
Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 20's, about 5-6, 140 pounds, wearing a blue hoodie and a green bandanna.
Flood said the woman in this case was very fortunate she wasn't injured beyond some scrapes from being dragged. Police say you should give an armed suspect whatever he demands, that the items in your purse or wallet can be replaced.
