Three-Judge Panel to Rule in Sandoval Case

A three-judge panel is expected to meet in February or March before passing sentence on convicted killer Jose Sandoval.

A jury Tuesday said the case merits the death penalty and the judge panel will determine that sentence. Sandoval faces life in prison or death in the electric chair after being convicted in five murders in last years Norfolk bank slayings.
