Nebraska is on track to sell more tickets Monday for the Alamo Bowl than it did in the three weeks leading up to the last year's Independence Bowl. According to John Anderson, the university's ticket manager close to 2,500 tickets were pre-sold.
Half way through the day 4,500 of Nebraska's allotment of 10,800 Alamo Bowl tickets had been sold.
Last year about 4,700 of the allotted 12,000 tickets were sold for the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana.
