Authorities surrounded a Ramada Inn in south Lincoln late Wednesday afternoon. The move came after they got a tip that Collin McDonald, who is wanted on a federal bank robbery warrant, was in a room there.
Police evacuated rooms on the first and second levels of the hotel. They also asked area businesses to evacuate.
"The squad cars pulled up on both sides and were blocking things off. The officer came in the door with gun drawn and said everybody out so we can seal off and secure the area," said U-Stop Assistant Manager Robert Walraben.
Police said residents in the area weren't aware of the disturbance.
After two and a half hours police were able to talk McDonald and a female companion out of the room. The woman is 20 year old Tiffany Callahan. She is being held on local charges. McDonald faces federal charges.
