48-Year-Old Hall County Man Possibly Drowned
Shelton, Neb. The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible drowning at the War Ax State Recreation Area near the Shelton, Nebraska Interstate-80 interchange.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible drowning at the War Ax State Recreation Area near the Shelton, Nebraska Interstate-80 interchange.
According to a media release from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, the body of 48-year old William Granstrom Jr. of Grand Island was found in the water at the recreation area shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Preliminary investigation indicates an apparent accidental drowning or a medical problem. Granstrom had been reportedly been fishing near the edge of a pit at the recreation area. A fishing companion discovered Granstrom in the water and called authorities.
An autopsy has been ordered by the Buffalo County Attorney's Office.
