Nebraska parents concerned about obtaining a flu shot for their children can take heart.
More of the vaccine is on the way.
The state will receive enough vaccine for 1,160 children this week. An additional 1,000 doses are due by the end of the month.
The vaccine is coming to the state from the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta.
It will only be given to children ages six months to 23 months.
The flu shots will be distributed to local health departments based on population. The health departments will then decide who will provide the vaccinations and where.
