The Hall County Board is considering expansion of the work of the Hall County Veterans Service Office to include Nance County.
Nance County Board Chairman Walter Dubas says he thinks his county will get better service if the proposal is approved by the Hall County Board Tuesday.
The Hall County VA office assists veterans and their dependents in getting federal, state and county benefits after discharge from active service.
The office has four full time employees and two part time ones. It brings in nearly $12 million a year in veterans benefits for Hall County.
The office also brings in more than one million dollars annually for Sherman and Howard County veterans under special contracts with those two counties.
