An officer of the state Fire Marshal's office says fire caused about $20,000 in damage to the building and ten thousand to contents in destroying an old school building in Virginia.
Filley Volunteer Fire Chief Terry Robinson says six fire departments responded to the fire call about ten pm Saturday. Ray Nance of the Fire Marshal's office says rubble was still smoldering Monday.
Robinson says the building had been used for storage in recent years and was destroyed in the fire. There were no injuries.
Nance says it may be several days before a cause is determined, however, he says there was no source of electricity or heat in the building.
