Sandra Heckman says she woke up early Saturday to the sound of a barking dog. She says when she went downstairs she found a window broken and her 15-year-old son Kevin was gone.

She says Kevin's winter coat and his money were still there.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed information that indicated the youth may have intended to run away. Officers still are pursuing any leads and information to resolve the case.

Sandra Heckman says her son is a home body who called home a couple of times a day during a recent hunting trip with his father.

Bob Heckman says there was no strain in family relationships and everything had been normal the night before his son's disappearance.
