Knolls House Fire

74- year-old Edward O'Shea Jr., and his wife 68-year-old wife Janet, were killed by an early morning fire on Christmas day.

Fire authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, but say that it started in the the family room of the house where the Christmas tree was located.

Neighbors called 911 about 3 a.m. Thursday morning after they saw flames coming from a home, just south of the Knolls Golf Course at 2333 The Knolls Street.

Fire crews located the bodies in the bedroom of the house. They say The couple were appearantly trying to escape.

Red Cross was called to the scene to help relieve dozens of firefighters battling the blaze.
