Fire broke out in the Weaver’s Potato Chip plant in Lincoln Thursday.
The plant’s fire detection system alerted firefighters to a trash bin inside the plant that had caught on fire.
The sprinklers contained the fire until crews were able to control it.
Officials say they are unsure if any of the plant’s food products were lost in the fire.
Captain Dustin Morton says crews were scrambling from the house fire in the city that took the lives of a Lincoln couple when the plant fire broke out.
